I did my warmup sketch today while listening to the audiobook of Hyperion by Dan Simmons. This scene is from early in the book so it's not too spoiler-y. So far the book is pretty good so if you like hard sci-fi I'd say check it out.

Adam Yauch, MCA, RIP

A while ago, back when I used to have time to just draw for fun, I contributed this drawing of the Beastie Boys to the site. I've listened to the Beasties for most of my life, and the news of Adam Yauch's untimely passing yesterday was sad stuff. I'm glad to see that in my quick little doodle MCA was placed front and center.

Rest in Peace, Adam Yauch.
