Farewell Jean Giraud (1938 – 2012)
I didn’t really grow up with his art as it was hard to find here in America.
But that made it so much more of a treat when I did eventually get to see
his work or get my hands on a book (or movie) he worked on.
Many of his works were a bit “out there,” thus my sketch, which makes no
sense beyond me trying to ape the look of a Moebius illustration.
A pointless task.
Thanks for the inspiration!

Jean 'Moebius' Giraud
Drawbridge did a theme of Moebius some time ago. I had a lot of fun with it at the time. Since his passing Saturday from cancer, I have a hard time drawing Moebius characters. He should be, and he can't and I am no one to take his place.
Here's the one I did before:
Here's a documentary about him:

Jean Giraud 1938 - 2012
I find it impossible to be objective about Jean "Moebius" Giraud. If he had only ever drawn cowboys , he would still have been one of the greatest comic artists who has ever lived. He drew so much more than that though, he drew the future, he drew our dreams.

"Platypus Chagrin"
So the topic today is "Chagrined Playtpus" so I drew a picture of Lulu Romanov in a sexy black gypsy outfit kinda thing. Which there is a reason for, but I can't tell you yet.
