Was there ever a baddie who suffered more indignity than Starr? His every success was punished with yet greater humiliation. Yet still he continued, motivated by utter contempt. I liked him. When most of the goodies in Preacher had become insufferably righteous and smug, Starr still clung to his purpose. You have to respect that.
Seriously beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. I really liked Herr Starr as a character. I thought his one-shot special drawn by Peter Snejburg (sp?) was probably the best single issue of the entire Preacher run.
ReplyDeleteYay! I know nothing about this man. He looks good in red though.
ReplyDeleteyou gave him some dignity by giving him his hat, we all know what's underneath.
ReplyDeleteGreat drawing
