A blast from the past. I remember looking at catalogs with pictures of these comics and not being able to get hold of them. They were impossibly exotic, unattainable things from a faraway country. To this day I have never read Scout. I'm sure it's awesome.

today as I warm up after a few days of eating and NOT much drawing.

Seeing as how I've never read any John Carter from Mars, every time I hear its mention, I think of Jimmy Carter.  And seeing as how I was born during the Carter administration, I've never heard this joke before though I'm certain it's been made.  

Did this one all in Photoshop.  I oil paint-ified it though the original might be a little better?
